Customizing your Suka Pipe is a super fun way to make it uniquely yours. Recently, I decided to add some anti-slip phone grip tape to the shell of my Suka Pipe. My goal? Make it easier to open and close, plus add a little personal flair.

Why Phone grip tape?

I found these awesome anti-slip stickers on Amazon, and I thought they’d be perfect for giving my Suka Pipe a better grip. The shell can be a bit smooth, especially if your hands are a little slippery, so adding these stickers not only makes it more functional but also looks pretty cool.

The Customization Process

It’s a straightforward process. I placed the stickers in a pattern that I liked—kind of a diagonal stripe design across the shell. You can get creative with it! Just make sure to clean the surface of the Suka Pipe first so the stickers adhere well. Once they’re on, it’s not just easier to twist open and closed, but it also gives the pipe a unique, personalized look.

My beehive hex pattern gives me traction on the top shell.

On the bottom Suka shell, I have my Hello Kitty whiskers that I have arranged perpendicularly from my top hex. I feel that a perpendicular sticker arrangement helps grip most. 

These anti-slip phone grip tapes are readily available on Amazon for a reasonable cost. A cool feature of these stickers is that if you mess up you can quickly take them off re-stick them somewhere else . 

An unintended benefit of my grip tape is that I now have lip markers, to help with long pulls.  .
