Bamboo truly is God's gift to man. Besides being used in hundreds of different ways, it is also the fastest growing woody plant in the world. This means that it is a completely renewable and sustainable resource: just like hemp. Our bamboo bowls are 100% handmade by craftsmen skilled in working bamboo. We choose our bamboo carefully. In fact, three different types are needed to make just one 7Pipe Pro bamboo bowl.

The purple bamboo is chosen for its resistance to heat and fire. It comes from Madagascar where seasonal fires wiped out all but the most rugged stalks. Through thousands of years of this natural selection, it now has the highest heat resistance of any bamboo. It is a very dense bamboo and therefore difficult to shape as well. *

The green bamboo is a dwarf species that is chosen for it's small size at maturity. Only a bamboo stalk this small would fit into the 7Pipe Pro and still have all the durable qualities of a mature bamboo.

The tan bamboo used for the bottom of the bowl is the same kind used for cooking. Blessed with a pleasant aromatic smell, it will impart a unique flavor to your herbs when you smoke from it.

You can clearly see the three different types of bamboo. Each has it's own qualities and characteristics.

Purple bamboo for the bowl is cut to size. We buy our bamboo from a wholesaler. He imports directly from Madagascar.

The only mechanical tool we use is a mini-drill. Here you can see the craftsman hollowing out the bamboo.

The two O-rings allow for an airtight seal. The grooves are hand filed until the O-rings nestle in there perfectly.

Go ahead. Take a big hit. The double air ducts allow maximum airflow and minimize blockage.
