The question: how did we manage to get glass inside of the 7pipe?

As with most manufactured things, making them very small, or very large... is very hard. Think about making semi-conducting wafers only a few molecules thick. Or making the tallest building in the world in Dubai. These all represent tremendous engineering feats.

In the same vein, getting a glass insert inside of a lighter pipe was extremely difficult. There are more than 30+ measurements to the glass insert that cannot be off by more than 0.3 millimeters. Keep in mind that, aside from a few moulds, these glass inserts are largely handmade. Multiply that by tens of thousands of units, and you have a huge quality control challenge.

Everything from the curve of the carb to the distance between screen holes must be controlled for. Being off by more than a few tenths of a millimeter means that the glass will not fit into the 7Pipe. Then it goes into the trash bin.

The product you hold in your hands is the product of two years of research and development, multiple factories(most of whom could not satisfy our strict requirements), countless prototypes, and endless tinkering.

You will find that 7Pipe will have few if any imitators, largely due to the fact that very few glass craftsmen have the skill to consistently create good product at a reasonable price.
